British Open Confirms PSA World Top 30 in Men’s Draw
The entire world’s top 30 players will be competing for the prestigious title of Allam British Open men’s champion in May after entries closed for the $150,000 tournament sponsored by Dr Assem Allam.
From Yorkshire’s Nick Matthew, who currently heads the PSA World Rankings, down to world no.30Omar Abdel Meguid, of Egypt, have entered the World Series Platinum tournament that will be hosted at Hull’s impressive indoor Sports Arena from 12 to 18 May.
Matthew will be seeking his fourth Open title – to follow those he won in 2006, 2009 and 2012 – while Egypt’s Ramy Ashour will be defending his crown. Recent Windy City Open champion Gegory Gaultier is the third past champion confirmed in the draw and will be aiming a repeat of his 2007 victory.
