British Nationals 2012
To say that Kevin Moran (David Lloyd Renfrew/Scotland) got a tough draw in the British National Championships is putting it mildly as he lined up against No.1 seed (and PSA World No.2) James Wilstrop.
But he fought through two qualifying rounds to get this match, so should have relished the opportunity to play the world’s best. Unfortunately James managed to beat Kev today, but Kev got a game before losing the tie 11-3 9-11 11-4 11-4 so he must have a number of positives to take from that match.
Stuart Crawford (Scotland’s ‘Assistant National Coach’) also fought his way through the qualifying rounds to meet the No.9 seed Robbie Temple in another tough 1st round draw. Again he wasn’t able to progress, as he lost his tie 3-0 (11-5 11-5 11-5).
Congrats to both players for making it through.
