Unfortunately Alan Clyne lost his 1st round at Grand Central Station’s PSA Tournament of Champions in New York against Adrian Grant the PSA World No.17 in a grueling 83 minute match that ended 11-5 16-14 9-11 11-5 and it looks as if Alan had got the 2nd game he may have been able to turn the tables on the Englishman.
In the 2nd round No.1 seed Nick Matthew (PSA World N0.2) was waiting for the winner and Nick has now made his way to the Semi-finals where he will meet Greg Gaultier today.
In the other semi-final the PSA World No.1 James Wilstrop is facing fellow countryman Daryl Selby (who upset the seeding by beating Karim Darwish in the 1st round). So the top 3 seeds and unseeded Daryl Selby will be doing battle tonight to see who will make it to the final tomorrow.
So the big showdown is on tonigh at the New York Tournament of Champions where the World No.1 & 2 meet.
Nick Matthew v James Wilstrop is going to be a great match-up between the two English rivals to see who really is top dog!
