Greg Lobban reaches the final of the $25K Charlottesville Open
Last night Greg Lobban had a fantastic win in his semi final 3-2, against Mazen Hesham (11-4 8-11 8-11 12-10 11-8 in just over an hour to reach the Final in Virginia. – Mazen was previously PSA Ranked 13 in the world in 2016, before injury which makes this win all the more impressive from Greg)

A great effort from the man from Inverness and he’ll be up against the PSA No.30 Nicolas Mueller in the Final later on today – Good luck Greg!

West Knockout Cup 2017 – ‘The Final’
The final of the 2017 West Knockout Cup is between Newlands & Strathgryffe. Newlands eased past Hamiton 3-1 in Wednesday’s semi-final and Strathgryffe beat Glasgow Uni 4-0 in the other semi-final tie.
Strathgryffe are away for the final and no doubt the Newlands members will be hoping to roar their side to victory. Who’s you’re money on?
There are some other interesting last round ties including Newlands 2 v Newlands 3 in the plate (favourites have to be the 3rd team with the home advantage!), not to mention Hamilton v Glasgow uni for the bronze medal.

2017 Canary Wharf Classic Draw

Nick Matthew has pledged to donate his prize money from Canary Wharf Squash Classic to the #Sunshine4Sumner campaign
The No.1 seed at Canary Wharf, is making this extraordinary gesture to help fund the treatment costs of 11-year-old Sussex boy Sumner Malik, who has a rare type of brain tumour.
Now Nick is encouraging the worldwide squash community to support the family’s appeal to raise money to pay for treatment, which is not available on the NHS.
Nick said: “I was so moved by Sumner’s story that I just wanted to do what I could to help, especially as I have known his family for years. We need to raise as much money as possible to fund his treatment so I’d ask everyone to give whatever they can afford to help him.
